Salvation

What Is Salvation?

Salvation is the spiritual experience of having one’s soul freed from slavery to Satan and sin by the power of God made available through exercising faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. A person who has had this experience and continues in it is said to be saved. Such a person can also be referred to as having been born again.

Do I need To Be Saved

No human being is without sin before God, except those who have been Blood-washed. Everybody born into this world inherits the sentence of guilt as a result of the rebellion of the first humans, Adam and Eve, which they committed against God, our Maker. God’s Word in Romans 5:12 says, “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man (i.e.         Adam), and death through sin and in this way death came to ALL MEN because ALL SINNED” (NIV, emphasis mine).

How Can I Be Saved?

Going through the following steps with a genuine desire to be saved will result in your becoming born again.

  1. Tell God that you accept His verdict that you are a sinner by virtue of your descending from Adam and Eve, and also because of not living in line with His directives hitherto;
  2. Confess your sins to God, mentioning them one by one as many as you can remember. He knows them, anyway, but your telling Him is a sign you are sincere about your desire to be saved;
